Paying by iPhone with Face ID To pay with your standard card, press the page key twice. Then look at your iPhone for authentication via Face ID, or enter your code. Paying with the iPhone via Touch ID To use your standard card, place your finger on the Touch ID sensor. Pay with the Apple Watch To pay with your standard card, press the page key twice and hold the display of your Apple Watch a few inches away from the contactless reader. Wait until you feel a slight tap. Depending on the transaction and payment amount, you may need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN. If you pay with Apple Cash in the US, you will authenticate yourself by Face ID, Touch ID, or secure code.3 However, some terminals require you to enter a PIN to confirm the charge. When prompted for a PIN, simply enter 0000 or any four-digit code. Japan Tell the cashier if you want to pay with Suica, iD or QUICPay. Just look for the logo on your card in Wallet. To use a Suica card that is set as your Express public transport card, simply hold the top end of your iPhone near the reader. In Mainland China If you want to pay in stores with your credit or debit card, you need to do the following: On an iPhone with Touch ID, press the Home key twice and place your finger on the Touch ID sensor, or give Enter your code before you hold the iPhone near the reader. On an iPhone X and later, press the page key twice and authenticate with Face ID before you hold the iPhone near the reader. Pay with a card other than the default card To change the card: iPhone X or later: Press the page key twice. When your default map appears, tap it, and then tap to select another map. Look at your iPhone for authentication via Face ID, and then hold the top of your device near the reader to pay. iPhone 8 or older: Keep your device near the reader without placing your finger on the Touch ID sensor. When your default map appears, tap it, and then tap to select another map. Place your finger on the Touch ID sensor to pay. Apple Watch: Press the page key twice. When your default map is displayed, swipe left or right to select another map. Keep your watch close to the reader for payment. Pay for apps or within apps You can pay on Apple iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch apps with Apple Pay when Apple Pay appears as a payment option. You can tell by the fact that one of these buttons is visible in the corresponding app. To pay in an app using Apple Pay: Tap the “Apple Pay ” key, or choose Apple Pay as the payment method. Check your billing information, shipping information and contact information to make sure they are correct. If you want to pay with another card, tap next to your card. When prompted, enter your billing, shipping, and contact information on your iPhone or iPad. The information is stored in Apple Pay. You do not have to enter the information again. Confirm the payment.
